The real deal.
Oshkosh Defence M1074A1 PLS.
The ammo pallets look really nice. Can they, or more preferably the .stl files for them, be bought anywhere?
Are they powder canisters? If so it is usually a 1:1 for rounds to canisters.
I think the middle ones (big stack with triangular cover) are powder canisters.
The front 4 pallets are 120mm Abrams ammo.
And then the shells, with some empty pallets next to them.
Already got a new print ready to go:
Every ammo type I could find in 155mm and 120mm used by the US.
You would not usually see 120mm mixed with 155mm. I would go with either a full load of 120mm, or a full load of a mix of 155mm rounds and power canisters.
Also, since the USMC no longer has tanks, I don’t think you would see the 120mm ammo on an LVSR.
Where can I get the file?
First I need to test print some other parts.
I’ll keep the forum up to date how these are going to come on the market.
In 1/35? Yes please!
The HEMTT is a standard M977A2 minus the crane. Easy to make with either Italeri’s mediocre kit, or add the Italeri bed parts to Trumpeter’s M1120 LHS frame. You would just need the generator/power units.
Anyone know the release date of the Trup Hobby boss M1075
I know what you’re saying Gino and it would make a nice project. However, my first prize would be a complete EPP conversion set for the Trump LHS kit (thinking Petition to God, HobbyLink or similar) featuring the bed, gensets, cable reels et al.
That, IMHO would be a great addition to the dozens (or even hundreds?) of Patriot /radar trailer/ HEMTT sets already built or in stashes out there.
Just my two cents worth.
James Lee, are you on the ‘net?
The M7 Forward Repair System (FRS) is also a very interesting subject to complement a HEMTT or PLS in my opinion.
I did a full walk around with measurements of one at Fort Carson several years ago. None of the big players were interested. Someone on here scratch built one. Hans Hermann perhaps.
Older than when I got in, but not by much. Early WWII.

Better not use it then?
