3D printing barrel for RFM Sturmtiger

Hi Everyone. I wonder if anyone here has used this item. I would like to get one for the RFM kit and wonder where I can order it to print. Thank you.

Night Shift recently used it on his RFM Sturmtiger build.
If you don’t have access to a 3D printer there are printer services, mainly for model trains since 3D printing is big in their community. I don’t have any links readily available on my phone so you might have to google it.
I’m the designer of that barrel in question so if you have any questions let me know.

I’m pretty sure some members here offer custom 3D printing (including me), depends on the location maybe.

Looking good, but there is lot of facets which will show during printing, you can see in the video also. I just downloaded it and will try to make it smoother :slightly_smiling_face:

My redesigned barrel on the right with smoother surface. I will test print both to see the difference. Also will redesign the other two variants.

I’d love to see one in person!

Looking really good.

Is nice to see more than one variant being CADed. Just like the original.

And yes, there was a 4th version, which was a prototype.

That’s one thing I need to invest in is a good .stl editor program.

The issue is when exporting from the CAD software to .stl format. There should be an option for a higher resolution.

Yes, it has something to do with the twist, I went back and changed the way I did the rifling.
