3D prints and CADs Part 2 - by petition2God

Since you modelled the bump stops for the Esci/Italeri M60, how about a set of suspension arms to fit the kit? Use the existing mounts and produce just the arms. There might be people willing to spend the money to upgrade the biggest weakness of the kit.

Hi Nikos,
Maybe. However, I do not think it’s the biggest weakness of the kit and highly doubt that people will buy the file or prints. I personally wouldn’t buy them if I didn’t 3D print. Because once the tracks are attached, the arms are not visible.
I had made replacement suspension arms for M48’s, and I sold 2 so far. 2! Barely paying for the resin it took.

I’ll probably will have to buy those bump stops for both of my Tamiya M60s; maybe a third for the Academy M60 Blazer I have on the build pile.

I will be getting the file for the bump stops by the end of the month and will gladly pay for the suspension arms.

I have no Academy or Tamiya M48s so I dont need the M48 ones (Dragon really made some profit from me, 10+ kits from them).

Cool. Contact me directly instead of downloading it from cults3d b/c they take 20% fee. I make 80 cents for selling the file for 1 USD. Definitely not funding my hobby budget.
If I were to make the M60 suspension arms, I’ll probably charge $3 for STL file but that’s not an efficient use of my time to sell 1 or 2.

I can cover the cost for the arms up to 15$, if others are interest to cover the rest then you might do them. I will contact you just like we did with the T96 track.

Hmmm. This is quite motivating. Let me think about it. I certainly wouldn’t charge $15 or even $10 if I were to make it however.

They look awesome!!!

For the Esci/Italeri kits, can you add a 3 mm in diameter round axle at the back of the flange? It needs it in order to mount to the kit.

Nikos, I’m not clear on what you’re asking. Can you show some photos to elaborate?

Now those do look good! Thinking about the handful of ESCI/Italeri/Revell M60s in my stash, will you be selling the STL file or just the solid prints? (I’m thinking about US-UK postage…)

Hi Tom,
My STL files are available here:All the 3D models of petition2God・Cults. Thanks for your kind words.

Btw, if you can buy the file directly from me, that helps more bc Cults3d takes a big chunk of 20% commission from every download.

M48A3 90mm M41 gun CADded! Used Takom kit’s measurements and many reference photos.
Should be more accurate than any other AM offerings out there. I also tried some weld seams - not sure if they’ll show up in 1/35 after 3D printing.
It will be available on my cults3D site soon.

All the Patton gun barrels printed very nicely in 1/35!
Need some small clean up on surfaces where the supports were.

Look ma! There is no seam in the middle from a 2-part assembly!

The weld seams came out.

If interested in buying one, PM me (9 USD for M46 version and 10 USD for M48A3’s -US resident Armorama members only).
Kind regards,
James
