I have seen some Leo 2A4 with texture on the whole barrel sleeve.
But I cant help with further info, Leopards are not up to my taste as a modelling subject to be honest

Haha! Leopard 2s are powerful, beautiful tanks! Too bad they’re not tasty like M48s and M60s for you. Well, I like anything other than WWII German regurgitations (Tigers, Panzers, Panthers, just makes me sick to the stomach even typing them) so I support all things post War.
Sir,
How hard would it be to mockup a red pack for the US Army Husky. I think I can use the front and rear mod off of an existing kit, but the central box is the question.
Hi Mike,
I have no clue as to what you’re referring to b/c I am not familiar with the vehicle like you’re. Can you show me some reference photos?
Kind regards,
James

I lost all my work for the past week or so after my external hard drive, which contains all my 3D CAD files, became corrupted. Luckily, I did not lose all the data for the entire year, and I was able to repair the hard drive using the Windows command prompt. All the gun barrel stuff is gone though…
I sure will after I get home, I’m at work right now. And sorry to hear about the lost work everything that you have been showing looks amazing.
Oof, that sucks. Glad to hear not a complete loss.
Yeah, I’m going to start storing files on Google cloud from now as well as a local hard drive…
Finally got a picture of the above-mentioned red pack. I just want to see if it a buildable thing.
If you look at the need picture help thread, there are a few more picture there.
I don’t think I can pull it off. If I were to do it, it would take months to CAD it not a year. Plus, I would need 40-50 HD reference photos and dimensions. You may be overestimating my skill level.
I think you underestimate yourself. I was just curious at the level needed I have two panda kits and I can kit bash the front and rear wheel sets just need the middle piece. Maybe I can scratch build the middle box.
That was my thought looking at the photos. Use the kit front and rear and scratch the box. Have the AFV kit towing it.
M46 Patton gun CAD done finally. Used Takom’s kit part’s dimensions and many reference photos. @Long_tom , please let me know what you think.

You know when you hit the bump stops…
I think another good barrel idea would be the Russian 125mm. Lots if kits out there that have it.
No plans for Russian guns.
Moving onto M48A3 90mm, continuing Leopard 2A5 and A6’s 120mm, Abrams M1A1/A2 120mm, and Abrams M1 105mm, and T-142 tracks for M60s.
Still have M48 fuel drum rack, VN War version M551 Sheridan’s extended stowage basket, and M60A1/A2/A3 turret basket to work on.
Would you consider crafting the machine gun mount for the M151-series truck? I’ve seen your other work for detailing this vehicle, but no manufacturer has yet to get this done correctly. The closest was the Tamiya M151A2 “Grenada” kit, but still left detail out and simplified the base.
And a proper size/shape M151A2 steering wheel would be great, as the plastic kits are all undersized.
Your M151A1 wheel looks great BTW.
Let’s save them for Q4 2024.
Let me also say why it’s unlikely I will make those M151A2 parts. Simply, their return on investment (ROI) is going to be terrible. It would take 4-5 hours to CAD them accurately and a few more hours to print them. Unlike bigger prints, which I can charge more, ROI stinks. Even though it would take just as long to CAD those parts (let’s say compared to AFV gun barrels) the price I could charge would be fraction of the bigger accessories due to their sizes - e.g., $3-4 per part vs. $10. Plus, I know for sure only very few will buy or download them based on history. Only a few people are willing to spend money on 3D prints for a $15 kit. Unless I am all about throwing away my time for philanthropy reasons, it is probably not going to happen.
