Today I did more work on this during our online AMPS Zoom meting… I finished adding stowage and did detail painting getting this one a few inches closer to the finish line

I need to get this one ready for markings and weathering…

Carlos - I really dig this build. I especially like your treatment of the stowage on the left side and front of the vehicle. Very convincing.
I might suggest painting all of the vision blocks and the framework around them sand again. That’s not easy to be precise on at our age. Then you can cut pieces of confetti exactly the right size and glue them in. Guaranteed 1000% better appearance.

Thanks guys for looking in and your feedback!

18, I will go back and touch up the areas around the vision blocks when they’re all done. I still need to do another layer or two of the translucent paint. I found it at a Gaming store. You put down the black base, then overcoat with this stuff. Depending upon your viewing angle, it has the reddish purple look of the anti laser coating.

I hear ya about the age thing. Too much caffeine nowadays and my hands let me know…

My bad. I should have known you weren’t finished.

That’s looking great.

@18bravo, No worries. Even after I’m officially “done”, I tend to find or come up with something to add after the fact… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

@mech, thank you. This is pretty much turning out as envisioned…:crossed_fingers:t3:

Now that I’m back home and have a few days off before getting back to work, I had some bench time. Yesterday I applied a gloss coat for decals, and today was application of decals.

I just need to do a bit more detail painting, flat coat, then final weathering.

@Erik67, @HeavyArty,

Thanks guys! Not too much more time left to go to get it wrapped up…

Really nice finish there Carlos. Your stowage looks excellent, she’s really loaded for an FTX.

@SSGToms, Thanks! This track is about ready to help breach the Saddam line :smirk:

Well, today was more progress inching it ever closer and closer to the finish line. First up I airbrushed on a flat coat…. then I added the antennas, got most of the detail painting done, glued the drivers hatch in the open position, and added the antennas…

I just need to detail paint a few more items, add some tie down cords to the forward antennas, then do the final weathering….

Cool laden. Did you use a wash? For example, for OiF vehicles? The backpacks, folding beds and other items look like the wash is gone.

Thanks Piotr. No, I haven’t applied any washes yet to this. I still have a bit more to go weathering wise before calling this one done.

Today I finished up painting the tracks and got a pin wash applied on the upper surfaces…

I just need to do final weathering and add the antenna tie down cords
