Wow. Sad news. I guess with the money I save I can put a few more girls through law school.

Ouch… I thought they had ceased to exist years ago.

Thanks for the heads-up Frank; a crying shame - their stuff covers an awful lot of areas that no one else does - and that’s before I start on their kits. I also find their after-service commendable.

But all understandable in a way; Derek and co deserve their retirement or whatever they’ve decided to embrace.

Now, where’s my list of AA stuff I can’t live without?

One of the best after market companies for years. Their stuff was pretty accurate and of good quality. I guess a small resin business cannot keep up with the competition from China and the evolution 3D printing, plus Brexit plus age.

I am a big fan of their stuff mainly because they produced detail and upgrade sets for many of my favorite subjects.

It is sad to see them go, it is really an end of an era.

That was exactly my thought!!!

I have been hunting for their Churchill interior set for more than a decade. I guess now there is even less chance of getting one. Let’s hope some company issues one in plastic.

Is there a chance the company might be sold to a new owner?

Andras, I’m not sure they ever made one; I think you might be thinking of Inside The Armour, as I recall they did a pretty comprehensive Churchill range of accessories and fittings.

'Happy to be proved wrong though. The good news is that ITA appear to be back in business with a range of 3D printed stuff, though I admit to not having seen any/much Churchill stuff.

I live in hope … They do so many niche 1/35 accessories you cant get anywhere else … I am already putting an order together … SWMBO is going to hate me …

it seems to me that the closeing the door rate outnumber the new opening rate.

This is surely very disappointing for anyone interested in UK AFV’s and softskins, personally I enjoy browsing their web catalog just to view the exquisite demo builds. I better get a list up PDQ because they offer some accessory items no one else has. I get the feeling our generation of modelers is slowly fading away :pensive:

Wow, has it been that long? Yes it has.

I always wanted an Accurate Armor kit in the 1990s, but they were expensive and I hardly ever worked with resin before. Now 28+ years later, they are closing and I still haven’t bought an Accurate Armor kit mainly because they’re modern UK vehicles. So it makes sense that he is retiring…decades have passed. Enjoy your retirement. :grinning:
