Accurate Armour is going to close

it doesn’t surprise me, they have failed to turn up at the Scottish IPMS show for several years as well as their locsl Glasgow show.

this was usually explained away due to illness by people that i knew running these events.

I have several of their kits and wish I had gotten more because they do offer stuff no one else is going. May have to check them out one more time.

I just placed an order. Only a few items are out of stock. I got everything I wanted. Shipping to the US was reasonable.

They have a few WW I items and a fair assortment of WW II stuff

I hope the same. I predict someone or some other company will pick up their production like what happened to Fruil.
If there are monetary opportunities, someone will take over.
Another silver lining is that this could encourage 3D print enthusiasts pick up the gap.

I saw that this morning on a fb and best wishes for their retirement, but at the same time, it will be nice if someone else buys up the masters and molds and start it back up. That is, if they sell them.

I like your prediction! Lets hope, and keep looking on the bright side. :crossed_fingers:

I’m honestly very sad. It was always at the top of my list… An era has ended. Best of luck to Derek in his retirement…

It was. Resicast: Back in 2024 | Armorama™?

Seems a number of brands that closed are back. Add Archer to the list.

Back in the early 1990’s, after Desert Storm, I built the AA Warrior IFV. That was the very first multimedia kit I ever built. Around 1995 or so I built their Challenger 2 as well. The Chally weighed as much as a brick, but back then there was nothing injection molded on the market. It was worth every dime I paid for both kits. Last year I ordered their “Stormer” kit and have it sitting on the shelf for a future Ukrainian build.

Sad news to hear of their closing. Like others, I hope the work was not in vain and that others will pick up the line.

This is tragic news, but not unexpected. We all seem to be about the same age. 60-ish. Or thereabouts. “The Great Armor Modeling Wave” is hitting it’s “Golden Years”.

Archer, is coming back, where did you hear/see that?

As I recall Woody turned off sales before Jan to not pay taxes the following year as I recall. I heard rumors about a rail picking it up.

Phil placed an order and got product so someone is minding the store.
