To follow up. After Phil’s order, I placed one myself. I have a shipping notice and asked about the status of Archer. They said and I quote “will have a re-opening announcement soon.”

Got my (modest) order in back in August. Just been on the site this morning and they seem to have extended the date to 9th September for additional orders. Wish I’d have put the lot in with the first order as a couple of my preferences now show as out of stock

They reopened but are now closed again for an indefinite period for them to catch up on orders! I emailed about my CET order and Rob replied they are working through the orders the best they can but couldn’t give a timeline on delivery.

I recently, tentatively enquired about the possible resurrection of the Abbot and the Malkara; sadly, no chance.
I suppose that’s the trouble with a successful firm like AA - one just gets so used to them being around and there’s “always another day” (in which to order).

I do hope AA will re-open their site soon; that said, my initial wish-list is up to around 500 quid. Oo-er.

For anyone who placed an order with AA prior to them stopping taking orders, I contacted them earlier this morning for an update on my order, and they said due to the massive amount of orders they had after the announcement, there is a possible backlog of a 6 week wait until they get all orders dispatched…
So don’t panic if it’s taking a while…

Well, my initial AA bill looks like it’s approaching £580 - Currency Calculator indicates $716.41 - let’s round it up to $800(!)
