Cool! What paint scheme do you want to have here? Good luck with your build and have a nice day

Well I like the decals from one of the Taiwanese versions but not the paint scheme. They have a few other versions ( I will post them soon ) but I’m not sure yet.
Perhaps I’ll pick the decals I want and go for a What-If version, not sure yet…

How about the Phillipino Marines? Both fancy AND historically accurate:

Luckily the AFV Club kit contains enough track you don’t need to use, that you can also add the spare links on the bow

I think it will be possible to try something like that… but I won’t risk doing that camo…

Yes, they have that scheme but I’m not risking it… I would make a mess of it for sure, the masking would drive me insane.

Anyway, here’s today’s work,
Not much done, simply fixing the PE stars that fell ( I lost one of them in the process ) so I add the 4 PE stars.

That looks like the “Berlin camo” used by the Brits during the 1980s.
And no, I would not want to paint that one either!

Yeah, that’s right, isn’t it funny? Completely different places and similar camo:

But I also want to tell you… Come on guys! Try this:

…and then you’ll admit the phillipine camo is pretty easy actually…

Anyhow - Nito74, good luck with your build! Have a nice day

Thanks Pawel !! Let’s see how that goes.
I might be easier than those new digital camo’s for sure… but I won’t try it

Again… same problem, one of the PE stars is missing.
Added another one.

Is it me, or are you putting the etched stars in the same place as the moulded-on ones? It looks like that from the photos, but it’s hard to be sure (without sticking them in Photoshop anyway).

Yes Jakko, I’m putting them in the same place.
Just following the instructions.

That’s why I asked: because I thought that’s what you were doing

Um … well, um …

The instructions say to file off the stars and then apply the etched ones slightly lower at the front, and slightly higher at the back — and also both of them slightly more towards the front … I’m guessing this is why you get etched stars in the kit when there’s perfectly good ones moulded onto the plastic parts already

Ahhh… crap. You’re right… ahhhh damn.

I was wondering why the PE since the moulded ones were ok…

TBH, who will notice? Other than people who’ve read this thread down to here, anyway

I was about to try to remove it, but since I lost 3 PE stars in a week… I will leave it like that.

For those who wonder what these stars are for

I guess this line is different on the H-6 variant…
