And now for something completely different, or what I've been doing instead of model building

Bought this as a retirement present to myself…

Yep - 6120 T - 59VS . Bought the Japanese manufacture one . It is stunning and I like looking at it almost as much as playing it.
The last electric guitar I played I was in jr high.
While re educating myself about amps I played it through a mini headphone amp - amazing depth of sound .
Ultimately bought a Fender Princeton reverb amp but mostly play the headphone rig . I have considerable hearing loss at 69 years.
Thanks for the interest - seems a lot of model builders are also into guitars.
Cheers- RT

D-28? Very nice indeed. Happy retirement, and many hours of blissful pickin’ to ya.

Truly sorry to about your ears.
Princetons are great amps. If it’s not too hard on your ears, you’ll want to crank it somewhere between 4 and 6 on the volume dial…sonic bliss.

Does the CW model have a larger sound hole than normal ala Tony Rice ? ( he may have acquired one of Clarence’s flat tops . )

Yes, the D-28 CW has the enlarged sound hole. T. Rice bought Whites original D-28 which Clarence had made the sound hole bigger. Rice’s brother is now in possession of that guitar.
