I received several messages from members recently about a specific user (Khouli) who had been making what they felt were improper posts or replies to them or others in the forum. After reviewing the recent posts and others and seeing how many posts of this user had been flagged in his time here I made the decision to suspend his account indefinitely. Many of these posts were in the Off-topic forum and while this forum has seen a lot of use by members, I think it’s important to note that it’s only seen by 188 subscribers in this community. That means the vast majority of our other registered users and visitors do not see this forum/sub-group. Meaning… it can go away as easily as it was started. As I said when we created it, I don’t want this community to turn into another Facebook where members are all calling each other names or being uncivil to each other. So here is the deal. The Off-topic community is hereby on notice. If you can’t use that area without those comments and posts having a negative effect on the forum as a whole, then it will go away. I don’t want to keep hearing about members being disrespectful to each other, etc. You have opinions? Fine. It’s okay to post an opinion. But the minute you start making derogatory remarks against other members it will be time for us to take action either by moderating your comments or suspending your account.
I trust all the user of Off-topic Shenanigans will take this to heart. Otherwise I am giving ALL of my moderators here the directive to take whatever actions they feel necessary to solve these issues.

I fully understand and support your actions boss, it’s not an easy decision to make. I’m also glad I’m not on Facebook as i have heard of so many negative aspects to that and twitter.
as for building models, I’ve hit a dry period, all i seem to do is add to the shelf of shame.

Oh, yay! This is like discovering there is an Armorama Secret Cow Level only instead of being full of Cows, it is full of Train Wrecks! I totally just signed up. Now I need to find the forum which will be my dumb adventure for the evening.
I see Uncle Heavy is ready to lay down some serious righteous moderating hurt so I want you to all to find the Secret Train Wreck Level and then write lots of crazy dumb stuff. You know. Emperor Palpatine level hate stuff. “Good. Good! I feel the hate flowing through you!”
I am not getting squat done on the model front and old war movies are just not doing it for me so… Help me, Secret Train Wreck Level. You are my only hope.

Been cold and rainy here. Had to cut a camping trip in the Dakotas short due to the weather.

No idea what has been going on nor do I probably care. I have been wrapping up the spring semester with my students and peers and today was my official last day of the school year, so all I care about now is finishing my projects.
After all family duties, of course.

there are other issues as well but it has been dealt with, so there is no need to rake over old coals.

Not sure why I have some slight conflict over this, probably because a notification of a change in moderation wasn’t done before judgement was passed.
Do I think the outcome would have been any different? Nope, the end result would most likely been the same. I think path the conclusion is important.

So close to the finish line with my Sd.Kfz.251/3 IV Ausf D for the D-Day Campaign however I am going to have a difficult time to find bench time.
Blackfly season is in full swing here so that means cottage time haha. Plus summer time is music time so I always have to learn about 30 songs on either bass or guitar for a couple of gigs. So these things take my bench time away
