Battleship Tsesarevich

Hey this is actually the model i built, it was my first ship! Well almost built since it suffered an accident when i got an idea to paint the linoleum decks using enamel wash which damaged the paint job (the paint peeled off in large scabs) and i trashed it. The color was tamiya olive green + some buff if i remember right, the funnels are indeed wrong but they looked more interesting that way to me at that time so i went with it. The camera color correction makes the funnel look more orange than they did irl, the hull color might have been more greenish irl and lay grayish.
On a positive note i got another copy of this kit and pretty much finished building all sub assemblies, experience from previous time was helpfull and i came up with much better division of the model into sub assemblies which makes the build better and will make painting much easier. I will make photos and share some tips since i basicly built this model twice already lol.
As for the colors green and white were peace time colors and war time colors were red and green. This time i am going with fully historical paint scheme.

There was some confusion where masts and funnels were thought to be lighter color but it was light and shadow confusing people on some black and white photos. Here are some nice pics i founds, the first one is pretty rare, i don’t see it often.
