So I jumped to one of these Metal Earth kits. Have to say, it’ll test your patience. After having to spread the sides a bit to get the bottom on, I feel like it might go pingggg and snap apart like a rubber band. It was fun though all kidding aside and I got to use a micro tools bending set, metal bending dowels , metal snippers and the good ole head set magnifiers - for seeing and eye protect against shards during snipping…
PS - its not on a stand - just resting on my new as of yet unused model ship mounting stand…

Congrats it is certainly one of the most difficult kind of kit.
I tried something like this some time ago, it was a helicopter.
Interesting but too difficult and too fragile, it breaks very easily.

That is an absolutely beautiful job. A stunning model.
I’ve looked at a few of these kits and been tempted. I like doing photoetch and I’m good at it. But I’ve put the kit back every time. Just overwhelming fiddliness.

Looks good! I’d do one of those. About how big is it? My ships about 8” long….

It is a little kit.
The helicopter dimensions without the pedestal are:
Lenght: 11 cm

I bought it during a an airshow in 2019.
