You can also go some of the 1980ties wars or even the first Gulf war. I think those options are in my kit….
finally feeling more up to snuff so should be posting some stating pics within the next few days ![]()

Hi Everyone,
I’m excited to join this group build, I do have a question. Would the Ki-46 III Type 100 Command Recon Plane, allied code name Dinah, be acceptable? If not, I’ll do the C6N, though I’m on a Japanese twin kick. Let me know.
Till next time, be safe, wash your hands with soap and water and above all have fun!
welcome aboard, yes that plane would be ok..

Had a good look around and found my build. I’ll be doing the old Airfix 1/72 O-1. It’s an unboxed kit and is missing a rocket pod, but I think can scrounge something together for that.
I’ll be finishing it in the South Vietnamese colours. I’ve done a few of these in the past, always in the USAF markings so it’s about time I chose something different.
It’s not a difficult or complicated build. The only things to watch are the undercarriage which is a bit delicate and the window inserts need some work to fit properly. The upper glazing is probably best done by filling in with clear glue.
Looks good I Just started on the 2nd step on my build should have some picks up soon

Sorry I haven’t been on as of late dealing with some work stuff I should get some build time this week

Has anyone else started yet ??
Still has three other builds to move along, but that is also progressing quickly, so in a month or two I will get started. ![]()
Hopefully this Ro.37 observation plane will qualify as a Bird Dog? I was going to do a Spanish Civil War scheme.
RO 37, sure. Welcome, have fun with the build.

Hi Everyone,
In keeping with my kick for Japanese twins, I’m entering this campaign with Tamiya’s 1/48 Mitsubishi Ki-46 III Type 100 Command Recon Plane, allied code name Dinah. Used by the IJA for forward positioning and the monitoring of troop movements throughout most of the war, due to it’s high altitude and speed, maintaining dominance until 1945 as allied planes could catch it and hunt them down. I find this plane to be a very astatically pleasing, my biggest debate will be to open cockpit (which I usually do) or closed!
Till next time, be safe, wash your hands with soap and water and above all have fun!
welcome aboard That is a nice kit

I hate to ask this, but is there any way we could put the end date sometime later in the year? I want to do this, have a kit, but have to get some other stuff out of the way before I can start….
I understand I am stuck at work doing unexpected certification’s and helping train new people so I have know problem letting this go until say August 1st

could a campaign guru please update the finish date please and thankyou.
Cool. The museum where I volunteer started out life as the OV-10 Bronco Association. Pots of references and former pilots there.
This one’s crept up on me and I haven’t made a start yet!
Luckily the Airfix O-1 is a pretty simple kit to build.
