If you mean the real ones. they were issued to many (all?) open top vehicles for protection and it is common to see them specially while train transporting.
And if you are referring to modellers, it is a good option for a different look (contrast with the vehicle camo) and you can save building & painting the whole interior… :slight_smile:

GDR NVA had their “blankets” were rolled, but not draped. I my eyes BD stuff looks unrealistic.

Some resin, notably Legends, looks better than others. But in my mind, unless you’re doing some sort of rubberized canvass like a lot of US vehicles have, it’s hard to beat good old tissue paper.
