I’ve had this kit kicking around in my stash for several years. I built the 1/350 one and was very pleased with it. I noticed on this one (1/144) that the bulwark interiors have no detailing, and in this scale it is pretty obvious. Will you address this in any way, or just build as is?

Ok for the next update. Her Mainmast has been Base Painted and trial fitted. More detail painting is to come. Her Funnel has been fitted and some Washes have been added to bring out some of her Details. Will have more for you soon…Cheers mark

Probably a good idea at this stage of a build, and given the original is at the bottom of the Yalu river…
But there is a reproduction at 1:1 scale (which is probably what the kit represents) so I’d be surprised if there weren’t some peoples holiday snaps around.
A google search for “巡洋艦致遠” has some interesting images.

Her Bow area is now finally finished and am very happy with the results. I had the choice of Moulded or P/E Railings. I went with the former as they are more in scale than the P/E ones. Will have more for you soon…Cheers Mark

Hi Mark,

Excellent progress, the IM railings look very good, I agree in 1/144 etch railings can look rather two dimensional. The contrast between the paint on the hull and the anchor, very nice.
