Build a Photo 3

I’ll definitely join in on this as my first GB, very cool idea!

I’m planning to recreate this photo here, I like all the machine guns on the IDF modified BTR-152s.

Also from what I can tell these 2 photos are of the same vehicle but just in a different location. I’m super stoked to make and paint figures for it! (It’s got a lot of 70s mustache action, it’ll be sick :joy: )

Does anyone make aftermarket 70s moustaches? Quinta studios perhaps?

Been having a hard time thinking on a possible build entry for this and at the moment, I am thinking about 3 possible candidates ….

The M60A1 Dozer and this image ….

I think its been done a few times but I quite like it …..

Or this image of a King Tiger with the limited version turret and also the bren carrier

or possibly this one …. but from a different angle.

I’m thinking too, but my thoughts are headed in a different direction. Many years ago when Tasca was “new”, I built a tank based on photos from Groningen, covered in graffiti. (In this build review: Armorama :: Tasca Sherman III by Tom Cromwell ) There was a second tank in the pics, and I’ve always planned to build it too. Maybe now is the time? I can build the second tank and the road as a base, but obviously not the urban buildings around them! Any thoughts? The one I already built is in the background with its turret cranked to 90 degrees, while the one I’d build for this campaign is the other Sherman in the foreground with the flat-fronted driver’s hoods.

PS: John, tackle Tiger 2 “11” - you know you want to!…

John, I might be wrong but your top pic looks like the suspension’s burned out, which might be a problem replicating in a model. And is that a Bergepanther towing it/in front of it?

Interior fires in Tigers and Panthers usually softened the torsion bars, letting the suspension collapse onto the bump stops. It’s not too difficult to reposition the arms, but it’s best to use indy-link tracks to get the right “set” which is harder to achieve with rubber-band or link&length tracks…

As for the identity of the large shrub towing the KT, your guess is as good as mine!

I do like the KT 11, but I keep getting drawn back to the burnt out wreck of the KT and Bren carrier .. I just like the imagined movement of the Bren as it goes by …. The tracks and suspension won’t be an issue as I have the Dragon smart kit with magic tracks, metal barrel etc so that collapsed suspension will be fine ….

And Brian @BootsDMS , yeah it is a B-Panther …. I recall a article I read somewhere about it and it was caught by air to ground attacks while being towed I think …. I wouldn’t do the Panther as I don’t want to trash 2 kits and it would take up to much space sadly
