The details will be pretty much as per the previous ones I ran, any type of kit, and scale and the build vehicle can be 25% built already but the finished item must have a dio/backdrop included as per the original ref image which must be shown in the posts.

I’ve never done one. Just to confirm, does the photo have to be a period photo, or can it be a modern photo of an old subject?

Reason I ask is I have had an idea for a while and I want to try it out here! I was nearing the end of a Nakajima B6N build when I spilled glue on the entire lower wing melting a lot of the detail. The rest of the kit was fine so I ordered another one and used the lower wing. Now I have a full other kit unbuilt with the lower wing detail damaged. Not wanting to toss a complete kit, I decided to table it and wait for inspiration to hit. Well I stumbled across these photos and videos from Truk lagoon of a B6N wreck.

I will base it off a specific photo. (Sorry photo uploads still down). This would allow for me to hide the lower wing in the sand and still build the kit. Would also add a diver figure or two!

I was going to try and discipline myself not to do campaigns, as I often bite off more than I can chew (though I quite enjoyed the Veterans’ one); anyway, I think I’m up for this; my inspiration being:

Oh yes indeedy!

So Brian,

Just to confirm, that is two cars & at least 5 of those early multi turreted german tanks??

Bloody good show I say, I bet eveyone can’t wait for that!! Will be a masterpiece for sure!! :joy::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Well Mike, I don’t know about a masterpiece; probably 1 x car and 3 x tanks - I’ll have to scale it all down a bit. I must admit I’m looking forward to the colour schemes on the tanks - Buntfarbenanstrich I believe.

Looks and sounds very interesting, and if it’s anything like your cold war masterpiece, it will be well worth it.

Er, I’m not too sure of the one you’re referring to - “masterpiece” being a bit subjective perhaps(!)

Just to stress, in case you get the wrong idea, this will be in small scale - 1/72 as opposed to anything larger, though I must admit, a 1/35 Grosstraktor in 1/35 would be quite something; so, it will be akin to an earlier effort of mine - and a similar timescale:

So, a little bit busier obviously; I suspect the main problem will be finding suitable figures standing to attention. We’ll see(!)
