I’m always interested in German builds even though space considerations limit me to 1/35.

Well it starts.
The first pics. are of the Engin Fan assembly’s, Rather useless as most of it can’t be seen, I just built it to show how it goes.

Now it starts the Hull side assembly’s

The Fans installed.

I am definitely interested and follow all of your builds Donald. You are a very skilled and interesting builder. I have this kit so I will be seriously following and taking notes.

Nice start. I put the fans and pulleys in my 1/35th Tasca version scratch building what would be visible from the top. You can just see them, so you may find yours will still have a purpose.

The Jerry Cans today, the fit wasn’t very good.

I think that they are all Fuel Cans, but I’m not shure.

It’s a fuel can.
Great work so far!

The next 9 Pics. will be my last on this Build.
It is getting to be more than I can handle with this Kit.
It is rare, that I do not finish a kit but I just can’t do this one.

Sorry
Donald

Now I need a long Vacation

When I built mine I designed and printed new exhaust grates, I also printed up screens for the intake grills. I love the subject, some parts not so much. Thanks for sharing.

It may be a challenge, but you are doing a great job on it. You are probably over the worst part.

“Kraftstoff” is “fuel”, and “feuergfährlich” is ‘fire hazard’, so they would be fuel cans; if they were made to be water cans, they’d have “Wasser” embossed in place of “Kraftstoff”, and wouldn’t have the second line. Water cans commonly had a white cross — vertical and horizontal lines wrapping around the can — to make them easier to distinguish, but this was not always done.

I was going to put this aside , but My Wife talked me into finishing it.
This is not an easy kit to assemble and the instructions could drive you mad.

I’m working on the Turret now, It has some interior detail but I’m not going to use it. The fit is bad, and you can’t really see it anyway.

Well this is an unexpected turn of events.

Well I think that this Build is Permanently Ended.
It was going fairly and then it turns out that the Track with all of its problems doesn’t fit the sprockets.
Yes I know that there are sets of aftermarket track But I can’t see spending a lot of money to fix this Mediocre Kit, It’s just not worth it.
Well I tried, it just doesn’t work.

Looks like it needs a link or two removed. I generally find many manufacturers put the wrong number of links; usually off by one or two. Wonder if it has anything to do with the amount of sag created by the rebuilders or the setting of the idler?

It is not the number of Links that is the Problem.
The Problem is the spacing of the links.
When some of the Links engage the Sprocket teeth , as you go to the side either way they engage the teeth less and less, until the sprocket teeth do not line up with the spaces in-between the Track shoes

See the top of the Sprocket in Pic. #58
