Love the attention to detail of damaging every stone … thats good
Pigment fixer. VMS and AK make them.
This is nuts, in a good way. So, basically you buy paint by the gallon and putty comes in a calking tube, and, and, and,…sheesh!
This is awesome, standing by for more!
Wow, looking great! Looks like a real road.
Hm it is basically a real road
Got some dirt
The white stones are for the cover which comes later. let’s see how the dirt will look when it is dried. I pick up some more as I left out the track path first and there will be some dirt on the road I guess.
Is that actual dirt?
Ken
Yes, normal earth from my backyard
This is off the hook. It’s freaking huge I imagine! May I ask how big the base is? Excellent work and thanks for sharing!

So I’m looking at the bucket on the base…then the tank on the base…then I start hearing a-fizzin’ & a-poppin’ in my head. Can you put your hand or your cute pooch in a photo for scale? Did I mention it looks absolutely magnificent?
Mine took about 3 rattle cans of Tamiya OD.
Absolutely fantastic. Were all of your track blocks complete? I had a few short shots, but had just enough good ones to have spares for the racks.
There were more then enough track parts, I have some unpainted left I can use for the tracks marks.
Okay track marks:
I am not sure wether there should be dirt in the tracks, maybe somebody has a foto reference?
The dirt is still wet so it looks very real, but I guess when it’s dried I need to change the colour back to the wet dark tone.
In this instance, I would have heavier dirt going up the back side tracks, by the idler, since the tank is coming off of soft ground, going onto pavement. There could be piles of mud thrown off the track, as it drives forward.
Will you add the quick release pins in the towing mounts? Did you drill the 4 holes for mounting the support rollers on the other end of the bogies (the bogies could be mounted on either side) I added the headlight connector plug holders to the brushguards. And I made my own tow cable ends, and used real cable for the tow cable.
