It has been a while since I have had a chance to get some work done due to real life. To night I managed a couple of hours, mostly fitting the roof and the hood. Some paint and fitting of the seats has also been done. The roof and hood is not glued, only temporarily fitted since there is a lot of work to be done to the interior among other things. Personally I´m pretty pleased about the progress so far.
Looks good. Something happened to the railings in the back. They are not parallel horizontally.
They need to be glued…
Some minor update to the interior. Radios are in and so is much of the wireing as well. I added a couple of water bottles and a PLGR GPS as a start for a «lived in» compartment. And yes, I realise the left mirror is upside down. It is a good reason for that: I fu**ed up… Easy to fix though.
I have painted most of the base, some personal weapons and stowage but that will be for a later update.
The GPS turned out quiet nice. Sun visors are scratchbuilt and could have been better, but the roof will hide most of them.
Looking really good…I really like the different shades of the sand color…the preshading.
Looking good….
Looking really good, so far.
As for the vests; the vest worn is a Safariland SPEAR BALCS (Body Armor/Load Carrying System) vest. With horizontal mounted MOLLE magazine pouches. You can see @18Bravo wearing one.
Some more stowage. I made a «short cut» and covered some old crates and ammo cans with a tarp made of Kleenex tissue. I don´t want to overload the vehicle and IMHO adding stowage under a tarp add some life to the model. When I stack a lot of different stowage on the vehicle bed it has a tendency to look unrealistic, with a lot of air in between. I have also painted a lot of other stowage so this project has come furter than the picture might suggest.
I’m not sure about your solution, but I get it. I do not know if that’s a good idea. You can logically arrange backpacks, bags and ammo boxes. Can you show a better picture of the electronics table?
It is finished. I´m pretty with the end result even though I could probably have detailed it even more. However, I got pretty borde with it and had to finish it before it took a place on the wall of shame.
First pic is taken before the roof was glued on a couple of days ago.
The finished vehicle
