Aw go ahead and buy one, I bought 2
They cost just a little more than some of the new Trumpeter and Hobby Boss kits.
Installed the Return Rollers & Wheels. I got a nice friction fit on the wheels so I didn’t have to use glue there. The Return Rollers need glue just be shure the inner ones are all the way in.
Here’s the Pics.
I have the Tracks together. I found it rather easy , First hold one of the outer parts face up , then clip onto the pins from the bottom one of the inner parts.
Next place the adhesive sparingly around the raised edge then slip on another exterior part and squeeze together , continuing on inner - outer- inner and so on.
I assembled the track in sections of 10 and 1 of 7. Then assembled the sections into 20 count assemblies and 1 of 17 for each side.
Thanks for guiding us through this very enjoyable build Donald. I have this kit and have been happily following. Take some time out tonight for some New Years frivolity!
I’m glad you like it , I’m still thinking about the pioneer Tool Tye down problem.
The kit gives you some really nice tools and tie down eyelets but no straps.
It would be nice and very profitable if someone would come up with some tools with printed tie down straps.
oh well I can always wish.

Nope I checked , The escape hatch is under the Bow Gunners position.
Maby Andy could explane it. To me it looks like a modification to ease molding the lower hull.

I have a little more finished. I have found a mistake In step 5 of the instructions the two mounts for the rear fenders aren’t numbered just shown in place .
See Pic #ch-53
#56 - Is that the elusive Sherman comb I see on that final drive cover? Did you make that or does it come in the kit? If it’s in the kit this will be the first time in history that a manufacturer has recognized it’s ubiquitous existence and provided the part in a kit!
Yes it comes with the kit , I was suprised to see it as most builders don;t know what it was fore. For all of you who don;t know , When shipping a sherman cables were run through the bow Mg. mount to the brake mechanism inside to set the brakes. When they wanted to move the tank they released the cables releasing the brake. That is according to the book Son of Sherman.

Donald
Now for some more building.
While waiting for the paint to dry I assembled part of the main gun.
A lot of seam filling is needed here.
Also the 2 parts #L17 need to be drilled out using either a #41 or #42 drill the fit is almost imposible otherwise.
