In one of those videos, they’re firing this huge anti tank gun. What gun is that?? The shell for that thing is humungus. Think we had one of those guns at our base in Iraq. Might have a pic of me standing next to it.

that´s MT-12 100 mm AT gun. At the time of filming (mid 1980`s), the guns were used in 2nd line units. Frontline units had ATGM carrying vehicles. Nevertheless I NEED that gun.

I have the set from ICM, it’s 35007 I think, it’s a BS-3 and Ural truck.
Is the BS-3 the same as the MT-12?
Sadly no Richard. BS-3 is the WWII version of the 100mm AT gun.

Maybe MT-12 could be converted from BS-3, I think the biggest problem will be the barrel with muzzle brake.

The boxy structure and the IFA W0 truck wheels and axles make it a candidate for a 2024 scratchbuild.

The kit is easy to build and has plenty of details. I have the vehicle profile booklets and there are plenty of pictures in them. I’ll take a look at the book when it’s out, as I already have plenty of books and magazines about the NVA vehicles

I have also s good collection of NVA literature. I think it´s a modelling theme that will keep me busy for weeks.
