Question for those that know: My experience with the 106mm RR was when they were mounted on the M151A1C 1/4 ton truck. The rifles we had were a dark gray metal finish, a color I have seen in images of other 106mm rifles. Were the Marine tubes also painted similar to this build?

I am an Aussie, 76 and been modelling all my life. I have entered a couple of comps and come away with the odd gold, silver and bronze, but my crowing achievement was ‘Peoples Choice’ with a diorama of a B-17G being re engined for the final trip back to the USA being declared ‘war weary’. !

So glad you posted this build. I just ordered the kit. I plan on converting to RC using a Tamiya 1/25 RC Panther for running gear etc. I’ll have interior parts to offer if anyone is interested ( except the ammo rounds ).
