Building/Weathering AHH 1/16 Greyhound

Hi,
i abandond my Sherman for a while as i did get a bit bored, it will be part of a diorama later so i will finsh it then to fit it in the diorama.
Sherman

This model doesent have TRACKs wich are always a bloody work to do. I read through oldwarloke real exellent build which contains al lot of very detailed pictures first.
So i did the complete inner part as start. As much of it is not visible later i did not pay attention for a perfect built to save a bit of effort. I know this is a different style of modelling, to focus on the look of the model when it is finished, which often makes large parts invisible due the weathering process, which i like most

After basic painting/markings i applied a satin coat

This time i used the airbrush to apply a dark wash as basic wethering, the advantage is that you can distribute the wash with air in every corner. As this is my first airbrush wash i am not completely happy but as most of it is nor visible later it was ideal for trying it

What did you use for the dark wash?

A link to Donald’s build.

Just normal dark wash, very thin black wash works best on a white surface

I did some oil painting on the floor

Not sure wether there is more dirt with Pigments needed, i guess not as it will not be visible
