Today I finished the tracks and the weathering of the whole tank. The tracks gave me a hard time assembling them. There is not much space and the prepainted track parts always fall apart again during the installation process. In the end I lost patience and glued everything together with fast setting superglue which finally worked. As Hermann mentioned I also hat the problem that one side was too narrow for one complete single track link - therefore I had to shorten it a bit to finally fit in. I had to repaint some areas of the tracks and I am not satisfied when I look at some track joints but in the end it looks like a complete track.

I gave the vehicle surfaces an dark oilwash which was followed by a very slight acrylic drybrush and finally some different dust pigments which were fixed with pigment fixer. The antennas where made with stretched sprue as they are not within the kit itself. The vehicle is looking now this way

Now its time to give the crew a bit of color and prepare a nice diorama base for it  :hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Finished the crew today. I made the wiring for the headphone / communication system from 0,3 lead wire from PLUSMODEL. I am quite satisfied with the results as these are my first early german Bundeswehr figures I finished. Please excuse the relative bad picture quality, I will need to renew my cellphone very soon

Just need to do a nice small diorama base for it then I can call it finished  :hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Finished the diorama ground base today. I did choosed an autumn scenario base as it will fit perfectly to the plain olive camouflage color of the Kanonenjagdpanzer

I hope I will get a new cellphone (Xiaomi 15 Ultra) which will make much better pictures as the one I have right now. As soon as I received it I will post pictures of the finished project  :hand_with_fingers_splayed:

Gentlemen I declare my build finished. I placed the tank onto the diorama base and added some birch leaves and some fir cones for a bit more autumn feeling.

Everything will be finally encased in a nice showcase from VIEWCASE.

Next friday I will hand it over to my hopefully happy customer. Thank you all very much for watching and commenting  :waving_hand:

Good model and base. I just suggest to distribute better the dirt on the tank: the upper plate is heavily dirty, while the tracks and wheels look perfectly clean.

Thomas you did a fantastic job on the model as well as the figures. Your groundwork looks great too. I have this kit and those figures and your project is very inspiring!

Great build Thomas. I’m sure the new owner is going to be very impressed seeing his old ride from his service days. :+1:

Where did you get the fir cones?

Ken, these are mature pollen cones from my Sugi tree (Cryptomeria japonica (sugi) description) in the garden. He produces a lot of them all over the year and they exactly look like fir cones in 1:35 scale. I can make you a good price for them  :waving_hand:

Cheers
