Three turrets made, two of these mounted on Centurions and the third was used for ballistic testing (shot at).
One turret remains.

Bloody hell; I mean, there’s obscure, and then there’s obscure.

Still sort of cool though
At least it was/is more solid than a lot of the German Paper Panzers.
I think I want one …

Well, that’s true enough Robin I admit. Not for me though otherwise I’ll go off on an experimental tank phase - oh - wait(!)

I think you need a companion for that TV8
 :joy:

Noooooo!

I suppose if I do it’ll have to be the Sov Object 279 (fairly recently restored to running order which is hugely impressive) and God knows I could always use a soldier in NBC kit - as per the original Takom kit.

The perfect kit for those who love assembling indy-link tracks.

Yes - kind of put me off for life I think!

Back to the more prosaic - Clerks unloading a Land Rover - exciting enough for me(!)

AM are now the king of making rare or fantasy tanks.

They show the rear not, because it is the wrong Mk? They put it on?

Amusing has Mk5 hulls, ActionX should be a Mk7

I’m sure that’ll be an easy enough fix for those who desire the beast.

I can fix a lot of problems, but if they say it should be the Aktion X. I expect, that it is the correct hull. I want to buy a kit, not a lot of problems

They don’t show the rear of the hull cleraly, but it is indeed a Mk 5 hull. The rear angles inward from the top. The Mk 7 angles outward. There is a resin company with the conversion. I’ve scratched it a couple of times. It’s about as time consuming as converting them to IDF extended fuel tank hulls. Still, you’re right - an unaccepatable inaccuracy.

Centurion Mk 7 conversion

And? You need the correct motor decking and with the Mk7, late style Bazooka plates too…
And maybe the uparmored frontplate… so it is ok, now?
Buy a kit and buy lots of extras so you get it look right? Or ignore all of the short comings and celebrate? Yeah a fantastic new offering.

I pass

Not hard to see where the Chieftains turret came from is it?:grinning:

The actual vehicle used Mk.7 Centurion hulls which Amusing have never released - and have not corrected in this kit.

All Mk.7 parts available from SMM.
