I would like to see more slightly damaged wheel rubber on UK based tanks. It a very common sight on Cent, Chieftain and Ch1 & 2…chunks missing etc…
Not only on UK based tanks I think… like most of your Centurions from the YK war drove to the front instead of being transported to the front…
Sorry Bert, bad description by me… I meant on UK designed tanks used by other as well as Brit forces, like IDF, Canadian, Aus etc
Allready thought it was a funny remark…
I have actually added this damage to the wheels of the M51 and the Achilles as well…
that sounds strange… added damage… is it inflicted?
Thank you to all the people that helped.
Not enjoying painting stowage and figures at all.
I have painted the figures four times and they look friggin awful, so before I lose my mojo I am just going to say it’s finished and leave it at that.
There is a reason why I always discard all the figures in the kits I buy …
Regardless of the figures, which can make anyone lose the will to live, you have done a cracking job with the Cent Colin @Catsrcool … Highlights you did on the various areas give it a realistic faded look and the dust weathering is very nicely done… Great job all round
Thank you John
Hi Everyone
just a little update on my centurion long way to go yet.
I added the light cables missing from the AFV Club kit.also replaced teh water filler cap for a armoured fuel cap
hope you like it so far
Ossie
Nice clean job. Which version are you building?
The flap you have inserted is the standard size? such as in Sherman’s / Grant’s?
Hi
if you mean fuel cap. I took it off a resin conversion kit for a strv 104 . the fuel cap is different to the water filler cap the fuel cap in the front the front fuel cap is the same as those on the back fuel tank
Ossie
hi Gtdeath
currently just a Shot Kal 73 version currently
Ossie
And what is the difference between a fuel filler cap and a water filler cap?
hi Pio
the fuel cap is armoured and twice as thick compared to a water filler cap. the front tank on a normal centurion is for water
This modification was done on the conversion from petrol motor to upgraded shot
