so just a small update today , I replaced the round circles which we’re below the towing bollards with plastic Meng Nuts . The bolts are there to keep the holes clean if required for rigid bar towing I presume
this Is a common practise on Israeli Centurions but AFV Club just but two circles.
I don’t intend to correct all of the mistakes on the kit or replace things like bin catches etc as this is a quick build .
Thanks
Ossie
My Shot Kal Dalet is nearly done. I just need to finish painting the stowage and rubble, then add some more dust to the side skirts to cover the excessive rust.
Looks very nice. I would tone down all the rust areas to be honest …I think rust would be minimal on the wagons. If anything I would go for some more streaking effect of grime etc
@Panzer_modeler looks really nice and “busy”. You might want to give some attention to the track inner surfaces and guide teeth, the exhausts and maybe add some battalion markings on the canvas at the back of the bustle rack?
While I am waiting for my Gimel paint to properly dry/cure, I decided to start working on another project from the “to do” list. It will be a Royal Jordanian Army Mk5 Centurion.
The main reason is to experiment with the AFV supplied kit wheels (plastic and rubber parts). Usually I am unwilling to combine rubber and plastic on a build but one cannot always use aftermarket wheels.
I will use AFV aftermarket tracks and mantlet canvas. For decals I will be using the extra decals from the Star Decals M47 set.
Hi
Jordan did not use the dozer blade version only Denmark and Australia and of Course UK .
MK5 Jordan Gun tank would be nice model to build in their camouflage scheme . Early Jordan centurions had a different scheme has seen on their TARIQ upgrades versions which are on MK 7 hulls .
something I been looking at in depth recently
