Doug this is a Alvis Stalwart also known as a ‘Stolly’ it was an amphibious vehicle used by several countries and there were also several variants.
Thank you! Now I want both a Challenger and a Stalwart.
Doug the only 1/35 Stolly’s are resin check here:

There a few plastic ones in 1/72 - 1/76
Thanks! I saw that Accurate Armor makes a bunch of 1/35 scale variants in resin.
A Stalwart resupplying a Challenger I would make a great diorama. Stalwarts were still around for the first Gulf War but I have yet to find a picture of one in the desert.
Here’s one in Aden in the 60s (well, it is desert!):
They were used in the gulf on Op DS as PODs and cargo but images are like hens teeth …
Oh the Sergeant Major will NOT like the condition of that Chally in the museum…
Unfortunately as evidenced by the other vehicle photo’s above most of their collection could do with a good clean and repaint.
M10 “Achilles” turret. Wish they had the whole bit.
I’m getting the itch to build another Challenger 1, nice job here on yours DT.
Then get to it …
That is awesome! I have only built two small resin kits and know they can be very difficult. Yours looks great.
I saw the various versions of the Alvis Stalwart on the Accurate Armor website but decided to pass given the price and my lack of skill. For now, I just collect pictures. Maybe some day…
They are possibly the most uncomfortable ride I have ever had in any vehicle. In Saladin form because of their weight in armour they are very stable and glide over terrain. Stallys on the other hand are unarmoured due to originally being amphibious and they wallow and bounce over everything. Even with a few tons of fuel on the back.
Nice mk2.
Nice cab to stretch out in though…
Haha yeah, but you would have to fight the driver for it!!
True … and they were quite protective of it lol
