Might add the signs?

Here is the unpainted base I’m thinking of putting the wall on.
Not 100% sure yet.

The signs would make sense if there is a T-junction opposite the garage doors (another street trying to enter the gates/doors).
If the building is on a street corner (left or right) then the sign post could be by that corner of the building.

The sign post does add a bit of three dimensional interest, just need to find a good reason for it being placed where it gets placed …

That is looking great. :+1:

Thanks, good points.
I noticed in the photo of the movie set that there were signs, so I made a few.

The sign post is beautiful!

Maybe just add small indications of street corner by adding som curbs?
Sort of like this, maybe smaller and closer to the front edge, the one on the right is slightly big to the point that a wall is missing, maybe some grass or a fence to hint at a small park?

Should be kept low to avoid blocking the wall → smaller curbs, same width as the sidewalk by the wall

Edit: Come to think of it: Could the sign post be placed at the front? In the boundary between paving stones and the grass I suggested above?

Deviates from conventional diorama/vignette wisdom …

Great ideas, but I don’t have anymore sidewalk pieces …

Tough …
Scratch build?

I’m not sure if I can pull that off.
I really like your ideas and I’m really thinking hard about them.

Having ideas is easy, implementing them is the hard part.
Let the thoughts idle in the background, maybe some solution will turn up.
Maybe just grass and dirt to indicate that the corner isn’t a street?

Another great idea!
But the base isn’t as large as it looks in the photo.
Thanks, you have given me ideas.

There are som very narrow “streets” in many European villages, just saying …

I will be looking forward to see what you come up with :+1:

Make some out of cork and plaster.

Or DAS

That might work but I think form board or cork would give you better looking curbs but I am sure G could make it work.

That cork work looks incredible … looks like cork wins :+1:

Thanks all, I’ll look into these ideas, but it has to match the original piece.

Thinking about it more-I could use this base on another set up and redo the road, etc, maybe using cork?
