Thanks Russ and Frank, nice of you to say so…

Thanks to Wade & Terry, appreciated guys and glad you are still tagging along with this one … I will get some more work done on it tonight after work to give me a break from the Churchill.
Cheers Ivan …We were still on SMG’s while in Chieftains and didnt get our first SA80s until just before left Germany while we were on Cr1. I should get a few sets though as they are handy weapons to have … Some SLRs would be good as well.

And yes, I am old enough to have the SLR as my first rifle … and yes, I had a 30 rd LMG mag with an uprated feed spring !!

I remember Small Arms Drill with the SMG was always interesting; mind you, at time it felt like we did nothing else but Drill in Junior Leaders.

we had the Steyr Carbines in Armoured Corps here in New Zealand and we used SMG drills marching with those. me with the Mo in the middle of pic front row. (when i was thin LOL)

At one time you couldn’t get any of these now look!

Looks ok and cheaper that the others flash hider might be a bit too large and it looks more like an FN one.

Yeah the flash hider is to large. It would be nicer if the sling buckles were hanging down instead of horizontal as well

Looking back the other stuff is definitely better but hayho you get what you pay for:+1::grinning:

There is some interesting stuff on the site. Be nice to see the L85’s with SUSAT or LDS fitted to them instead of iron sights.

Inside the armour do the SMG and SLR as well ……worth a look …SLR was mine too

I’m not a fan of PE, but you’re doing a grand job John in using it to enhance your already amazing build…outstanding, :+1: :slightly_smiling_face:.

I forgot about them … Someone highlighted the clansmen set a while ago. They do have some nice pieces … definitely worth a bookmark.

when i did my AVREs for AFV Modeller i used scorpion miniatures for clans man aerials bases .

Thanks Ossie, much appreciated mate. I have used SMM ABA’s before and they are not bad. I was disappointed with the ones from Accurate Armour though when I did my Striker, they were quite under scale… luckily, I had a couple of spare resin ones from a friend in Germany.
The TAKOM and AFV club ABA’s are nice. All you really need to add to those is the knurled securing knob / wingnut to the antenna housing.
