Nice work on the com gear , well done !!!
Thanks guys & Charles you’re fine, the strippers haven’t arrived yet.
Thanks so much bro – ah yes, lateral thinking, when one has an idea lying down. Quite the weird experience to see in reality exactly what’s been floating in my mind’s eye - those 2 lower photos did it! Should be simple, sift out a bunch of small parts from the spares boxes into a bath of rust coloured paint & hey presto right? Not so much.
And another gratefully received suggestion came from SamS over lunch last week, narrowing down the destroying projectile to an HE tank round. Pondering the effect of that on a seemingly all-wood planked cabin, I have a T-70 that survived the Kursk dios of yesteryear that’s still up to the job – it’s 45mm canon is probably enough for the kind of damage I’m thinking about (including fire), a 76mm or heavier likely too much. Did I ever mention we’re back on the Eastern Front?
Definitely do not want to miss that.
Cheers,
C.
I thought that level of celebration was reserved for the successful completion of an ALAN/Maquette kit?

Traditionally the reward is " strippers and ice cream " .
Commo gear looks the biz there sir. Having done a few commo tracks in the past I can feel your pain.

Thanks J, I’m shamelessly dodging getting decals for all the dials because they’ll be trashed ![]()
Yes indeed, we’ve been here before haven’t we
- a few years ago I was allowed to post a relevant image incorporating both of those components - apparently in a boxing ring, which closely resembled the distractions around my workbench ![]()
Excellent work with the sets Tim…adding the cables alone raises the realism and gives a very good look to all of it even though it’s a thankless time destroying endeavour… ![]()
You’re right Johnny , and even harder to make it convincingly destroyed .
I usually paint the smaller ones on anyway. Too small to read so it’s much easier for me.

Thanks HP that’s an excellent new view of the truck, and its impressive erection ![]()
Yep John/Glenn it is indeed a harder task than I remember to wreck. Construction is child’s play compared to this, you’re entirely on your own apart from reference images. And I’m experiencing strange mojo mis-firings too which doesn’t help. Whatever, Glenn’s inspired me about the strippers so watch this space.
I don’t think this one is in the ML thread…
But the pictured Kfz 72 variant may not be the one you’re building…
H.P.
Thanks HP, you’re right it’s not in ML, and no that’s our kitchen, and yes it’s a different truckin’ variant but they all look pretty much the same when they’re wrecked ![]()
Thanks Glenn they’re useful but hey leave my juices out of this – just send better strippers. And ice cream
Interesting, where did you find the last two images? I don’t think I’ve seen them before, they even look like they’re inside a Comms truck (?)
Tim , I honesily have no idea , I’ve got thousands of saved pcs from the start of the " internet " .
Oh man did you leave that bait dangling
…so you must have the boxing/wrestling ring huh?
