Having watched your build and all the scratch building in it and the level of detail. The judges should have seen all of that. This is a gold or platinum or diamond level piece. I’m sorry you were not properly recognized, but that is not why we do this. Bravo! Jack

HI Angel, the Windwagen looks great finished. It’s always a pleasure to see your work in process, and even better to see when done! Thanks also for including the link to the competition. It’s great to see so many type of models built to such a high level. It’s funny, I too stepped away from building models for a while. I think I became a bit burned out, and at the same time work became busy and the projects interesting.

I’m with DAKjunkie, I don’t see why the two gold awards topped yours, quite the opposite. If I was a judge I’d score uniqueness & imagination highly before even addressing execution, and you topped all three criteria to my eyes. It’s a strange phenomenon often exemplified in the art world which I have some knowledge of, contemporary assessment failing to recognise true value until much later. I’m not saying you’re another Vincent, but there are echoes. Keep on keeping on, you are an exceptional model-maker.
