he doesn’t do international shipping
Well damn. Doesn’t he know that a modeler from an allied nation is airbrushless ? Geez
i tried to add that ro my watch list but I’m not allowed as i have 16 pages full on my ebay watch list…seriously what is wrong with these ebay people lol
Didn’t the Testors Aztek appear at the same time Testors launched their new acrylic paint? Lot of modelers in our local club bought new Testors Aztek’s and tried Testors acrylic paint at the same time. I seem to recall some issues that were related to the initial version of Testors acrylic paint or learning to use it. The Aztek got blamed for that by folks that didn’t realize it was a Testors acrylic paint or paint thinning issue.
First person I saw getting great results with the Aztek back in the day dumped the Testors acrylic paint in the bin and was using Tamiya or Floquil. This was after the Testor Aztek had been on the market for a while.
Personally, I only tried a friends plastic Aztek and I really hated the balance and feel of the Aztek in my hand. It felt canted to the side with paint in the color cup because the body was so light. Probably due to being used to air brushing with a fat heavy Paasche cigar of an airbrush. The Paasche brush to me felt more center balanced. The Aztek sprayed Floquil well enough zero issue with the painting. Didn’t like the feel of the trigger either. My issue was alway the feel.
Interesting. One of the things that I liked about the Aztek was the way it fit my hand and the fact that it was not heavy like other ABs.
My opinion: dump the Aztecs and move on. I have two that haven’t been used in years. I now have a Tamiya SprayWork, two iwata’s, a Grex Pistol grip and another iwata on the way. Love the iwata’s!
@Armorsmith yeah i agree about the lightness and comfortable fit in your hand
i have found some of the metal airbrushes to be heavy.
my wife and i are in Spain for just over a week for personal reasons so i have time to think this over. i will have one last go at reviving the dead and try contacting Testors about getting it repaired for a sensible price if not… a new airbrush will be needed as i have several kits needing painting.

Also dont forget that you can clean all metal airbrushes with realy strong chemicals…
anyone have any experience of this badger 105?
I was just wondering how you came out on this earlier this morning, here’s a link for Badger airbrush reviews if you haven’t already searched the web . . . https://homechit.com/

hi mate, i had to disappear to spain for family business so this issue put the airbrush on the back burner.
now I’m back in the UK, I’ve got time to start researching them properly.
And here I thought that only happened when escaping the Sweeney until the statute of limitations expired!
Good luck with the research - I’ve been using a Badger Renegade Krome for a decade now and love it! But there are other ABs out there too…
oh great now you give me another airbrush to research but i did find this unnamed airbrush in the cupboard that my wife bought…good luck to anyone who can identify it but we got it at the Scottish IPMS show in perth back in 2019
Surely that’s a left-over prop gun from UFO?..
A test review would be interesting!
personally i think it’s james bond’s Walther PPK lol
That looks like one of those injection guns you see being used to implant something in the neck of the hero in movies!
I’m going to repeat myself and say go for the Iwata Eclipse…
Well there’s your answer right there, try it out on the display base for an airplane and see how it does, looks like you’ve got different sized nozzles and paint cups, as long as it sprays and gives good coverage what more can you ask for
