Dragon T28 Super Heavy tank build log

The Patton Museum still exist, it just no longer has all the armor that was owned by the Armor Schoolhouse. It is now called the General George Patton Museum of Leadership.

When the schoolhouse relocated to Ft Benning and integrated w/the Infantry schoolhouse to become the School of Maneuver, their armored pieces were transferred as well and became the US Army Armor and Cavalry Collection, which is waiting for the new National Armor and Cavalry Museum to be built.

Yea, right, exactly.
And I promise I will still respect you in the morning.

Well i would ask you: Why would the CMH allow us to fully restore a vehicle to running condition and put it on display but then not allow us or the staff to drive it around the Museum property to promote a living history display and awareness of the Museum?

And before you say “insurance liability” the staff and volunteers were trained HEAVILY in vehicle and visitor safety. As well as the rules for ground guiding. We all had tested and issued military driver’s licenses specificlally listing each vehicle we were qualified to operate.

As Gino said the demise of the Patton ARMOR Muesem had NOTHING to do with our relationship to CMH. Though CMH now has EXACTLY what they always wanted: a non-operating museum, inaccessable to the public!
