So, got the handy hand-drill, stubby, fits hand perfectly, and the collet looks serviceable for hand-force/light duty.
But how do I get into the boxes of bits. I’ve seen no indication of lines, tape, or pivots.
Baffled I am!

It’s a snap close, push gently on the sides in opposite direction and it will open. If it doesn’t open push in opposite direction.
Like this…
They are good bits but the small ones are quite brittle.
Well that was easy! LOLZ-
Tungsten is like that. Go slow, and use as little force as possible.
Thanks, Wade!
They sell the exact bits at Harbor Freight but hopefully Meng marks the sizes more legibly.
Please keep in mind that these drill bits (all CNC bits for that matter) are very sharp but also VERY brittle. They will not accept any side way movement (the thinner the worse, ofcourse) or they will snap.
Yes, they’re really intended for use in machinery where lateral movement of the tool isn’t an issue. The hardness of tungsten certainly isn’t necessary for the materials most modelers are working with.
Thanks, all
I do not plan any serious torque/side loading of the bits. Their use on styrene and resins should be OK. For example, my Abrams CATTB has no telescope or coax ports on the gun mantle. The contemporaneous pictures from its development are also nekkid. If I build one to have had it gone to a European scenario against the godless hordes, it’d need both. And a RWS on the rooftop, for those pesky drones and thin-skinned vehicles.
I also find the length of the DSPIAE very useful in my hands, as it is a bit shorter than my old pin vise.
Thanks again!
