DSPIAE oscillating mixer

Anyone out there have the new oscillating paint mixer from DSPIAE??

Were you able to register an account for the phone app?? I’m having trouble setting up an account. I won’t go into the gory details but it has to do with phone verification codes…

Thanks.

Is this the same product?

I have to say I was very disappointed with DSPIAE: their sprue cutters failed on me after around a year or so. Very sad!

DSPIAE is a Chinese company? Then why do you wonder?

I will have to disagree with you here. I have numerous DSPIAE tools and all of them are very well made and well designed. In my opinion, they are easily the best hobby tool maker out there right now. The exception is side cutters so can’t comment on Boots failure - I use God Hand & Zoukei-Mura since I found these better then the DSPIAE ones (and still use Tamiya ones as well).

I haven’t tried the oscillating mixer but have the electric paint mixer that Dan posted and it works very well.

Bit of a conundrum there,

but why do you need to give access to an app .

What I use.

Negative. The new version oscillates/vibrates. The previous version employs magnets. Drop metal balls inside the paint bottle I believe.

Wonder what??

I have the photo etc bender and that thing is PLUSH and well engineered.

Indeed very similar. The DSPIAE unit totally works without the app by just setting/pressing the bottle on top similar to yours. What the app does is allow you to change speed and oscillation settings for the vibration. It also allows you to control the silly LED lights at the base.

For me it’s more of an “end-user ease of use” issue. If a device is designed to have variable features and functions then there should be a low barrier to access and control. That being said it works fine as is and turns my work table into a fine disco dance floor.

(Funky music video warning :warning: )

Well, this was from a Chinese company and worked very well indeed(!)

I’ve had no problems with DSPIAE tools, except of my own stupidity, using the cutters to cut something they are not designed to cut rather than go and find my proper side cutters to cut metal.

That all being said I’ve not come across the disco light paint shaker before.
