I leave mine in their bags so I can see what sizes they are. I lay all the bags in a long organizer tray that is about 4" wide, 3" deep, and 14" long. They sit nicely on a shelf and keep everything contained.

Kept in original bags in a tote, scraps in an even smaller tote that’s on the bench for quick access. I keep everything, every piece of scrap and bad cuts and failed scratch build.

I built a cardboard box with dividers, and it holds my vast Evergreen collection! (More or less one of everything…) The box then sits in a large heavy-duty shopping bag (one of those rectangular ones with handles, that folds up and is often sold at supermarkets as a “bag for life”) that has room for the box and a space at the end where my sheets of plastic are stored.

I use old kit boxes.
I made some dividers from cardboard, the length of the box and bent into an L shape. The labels are just old business cards. I have one box for rods, squares, and strips, one box for tubes and shapes, and a third for sheets.
The Evergreen envelopes are much longer than the stock so I trim them to fit the box.
I also have a small, flat candy box for scraps and cut offs. It gets culled from time to time because there’s no point in keeping everything, forever.

Indeed. Every once in a while they get thrown in an old Piko gondola with leftover kit parts, Ho scale Revell locomotive wheels, etc. Sprayed with three different shades of rust - makes a nice load, especially if scraps include sheet where I’ve punched out circles, and bits of angle and I beam.

Good idea! I assume it gets glued together before being let loose on your model railroad? Wouldn’t want those scraps getting loose to cause derailments!

Well yes, but not absolutely necessary. Ever seen the flanges on Piko rolling stock? Virtually impossible to derail under normal operating.

I went vertical due to space limitations. These stackable drawer units were recommended by a fellow KitMaker member… You know who you are.
Various configurations can be found on ‘Amazon.’
I have a taped color-coding system, but I really need to redo it one of these days.
I keep scraps in a variety of handy clear plastic storage boxes found at Walmart, Target, supermarkets, etc.
