First a Tiger 1 movie, now one on Nuremberg starring Russell Crowe & Michael Shannon

The Allies, led by the unyielding chief prosecutor, Robert H. Jackson (Michael Shannon), have the task of ensuring the Nazi regime answers for the unveiled horrors of the Holocaust while a US Army psychiatrist (Rami Malek) is locked in a dramatic psychological duel with former Reichsmarschall Herman Göring (Russell Crowe).

Yes, he is a good actor. Likewise, Michael Shannon. I’ll see the Tiger movie, too, if only for the novelty of it.

This looks like it has great potential. I’m a huge fan of Judgement at Nuremberg.

The Tiger movie….meh…. The plot of sending a tank to look for someone behind enemy lines?

I would gladly pay my money to see both of these films. Both seem like good “Dinner And A Movie” candidates for my model club. 2 hours of Tiger I action looks appealing, even though it’s a replica and the “Top Secret” status would disappear as soon as a massive Tiger I started rumbling across the countryside. Hopefully since it’s an MGM production it will play here in the States.
The Nuremburg movie just looks excellent from the get - go.

It will be interesting to learn how they replicated a Tiger,I can’t tell from the trailer, but it looks decent.

Yes Tony it does look like a damn fine replica.

It’s a T55 with two roadwheel stations on various axles. It’s on the original tracks. Excellent mock up.

While trying to find this movie on my tv, I came across a number of shows about the Tiger. Didn’t know any of them, I watch one that was taken at Bovington and it was good, even having done modeling stuff in it.

Apropos of nothing very much at all, save the need to chip in(!) I always thought that the Tigers portrayed in Night of the Generals deserve a mention; I think they must have been the first to actually bother (on whatever base vehicle it was - T-34 I suspect) to make a half-decent mock-up as opposed to the legions of M41s and M48s we’d gotten used to:

Also of course, kudos to the producers being able to secure filming in what was then, a Warsaw Pact member country, and firmly in the communist bloc.

It pre-dated Kelly’s Heroes by around 3 years and that of course, also portrayed a very good Tiger, in my view, complete with Zimmerit; again I suspect, a T-34 base vehicle, but I feel it was Night of the Generals that paved the way, and deserves some plaudits!

I’d watch the Tiger film. My fascination with German AFVs began at the age of 10 in 1975. Since then there have been almost zero visually accurate depictions of the Tiger, always bodged up versions of soviet or american leftovers. As is the case with most of you I imagine, I can spot a fake Tiger at 1000 paces in the blink of an eye. It would please my inner 10 year old no end to see such a film regardless of having to otherwise suspend disbelief. And at least the crew are speaking German. I was momentarily terrified that they would be speaking English, when I pressed play on the trailer.

So what kinda headgear is the TC wearing? Looks Russian in shape.

One clever guy found out that the “Tiger” is a modified T-55 from Czech Republic. In some scenes, they “attached” a Tiger I suspension made with CGI.
