You might not notice, but the Type 95 is mounted on a pallet so a forklift can easily pick it up and move it. How is that for “armored”

There was one aircraft I could not find. They have a Mig 29 two seater. Maybe it was in another hanger?

And a nice ride south east into Oregon and across the Cascades takes you to Madras - home of the Erickson collection.

Who is the cat to right with the P-38 t-shirt? He looks familiar for some reason.

The halftrack is not an Sdkfz. 9 Famo. It is an 8-ton Sdkfz. 7. Considerable size difference.

This Sdkfz.7 (which I’ve sat in) came from the Jacques Littlefield collection, which I had the fortune of visiting before he passed away and the collection was sold. The PzKpfw IV came from Littlefield too (purchased for $2M and sat in court proceedings for 2 years), along with a few others like the SS-1b SCUD.

The FHCA is one of the nicest and best military museums I’ve been to. Probably topped only by Bovington for well laid out displays. I was happy to see it re-open as that sounded positive, so it would be shame to see it closed and dispersed like Littlefield’s collection, which was still the best collection in the world, in my opinion.

I didn’t realize they opened the museum back up! I’m gonna try and make it out there on Sunday! I wish I could go this Saturday, but I’m working

Wow, that is a wonderful museum. A great place to visit before the Mighty Trumpet calls.

I was there in April!
Plans are being thought of for a trip to Seattle.

Again, make it a double header with the Boeing Museum of Flight.

I just wanted to point out that the model shop is called Skyway, not Skywave.
