Chaps, I’m pretty sure that sometime last year I extolled the transmission on Brit TV of the French series “Dark Hearts”. The best thing I’ve watched in the last decade given the dire state of British TV, which I’ve long given up on. Long-suffering Brits will know what I mean.
Anyway, Series 2 began tonight; highly recommended, and for Brits, available on iPlayer whatever the hell that is. I’m sure our French cousins are ahead of the game and have already watched it. How anyone else in the world gets to see it, I regret I have no idea.
Again, highly recommended. Attention to detail is the thing here – in addition to a thumping story line - weapons actually being cleaned and magazines loaded; I haven’t seen weapons being cleaned in a film since Guns at Batasi, but I digress. Command and Control well in evidence including the 2000 mile screwdriver. Action-packed for sure, but the scenes are well done in my opinion (my knowledge of SF ops is small apart from undertaking their typing back in 1983). More facial hair than you can shake a shi*ty stick at, and a superb addition to the cast in the form of a Malinois SF dog.
Anyway, enjoy! Be minded that targets do indeed, fall when hit (a Brit Army range exhortation).
Simply sublime viewing.
