Ft. Stewart's museum "Thunder Run" room

Years ago a large group build was held to build vehicles of 3IDs two Thunder Runs in 2003.
I visited the museum a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised to see the builds are still there.

I participated by building the technical truck around 5:53; my model didn’t make the display however.

Yup, the curator really likes the display and has no plans to replace it. That is the M7A2 BFIST that I built in the upper right below.

Some of you may remember it. It represents a vehicle from A Co, 1-64 AR, 3ID. It was hit by an RPG on the left side rack.

The “First Into Baghdad” Abrams is now on display at the US Army Armor & Cavalry Collection on Fort Moore.

And the “Last vehicle out of Iraq,” a Caiman, is on display inside the Mounted Warrior Museum just outside Ft. Cervezas.
