"Get to the Elbe" Refugees in May 1945

I decided to go back and work on a large dio I had sidelined for years now. I painted up a guy from the truck last night. I ask for forgiveness for the sculpting on this old old figure I did but I have no excuse for the painting I did last night.

I have so much work in this project already finished I figured I may as well try to put a nail in it.

The seat is already pulled up for this … Let the good times roll… :+1::+1:

And that figure painting is still 100% better than any effort I could come up with👍

Thanks buddy.
My right eye is giving me fits for 2 days now and that didn’t help. Plus I had to paint this guy molded in place and I’m not used to that. Oh well,it is what it is.

Great to see it back   One of the best dioramas I had seen at the time on the old site.

Is there a link for it we can peruse so we can see how it all started ?

wow thanks man. I didn’t think anyone remembered that.

It’s on the old diorama forum here on Armorama. I haven’t a clue on how to link that. I wouldn’t mind seeing it myself ! LOL.

Your “Elbe” diorama stands out in my mind as one of my favorites. Hope you can recover it somehow.
BTW: I gave it a go, but no dice. …:game_die: …:game_die:

I remember this one- lots of interesting figs in the back of the truck iirc. Looking forward to seeing it again and what you do with it!

Yep,it has been in boxes under my desk for years now. I figured I had enough time and work invested in it I might as well get’r done,

I went back and looked at the trove of posts from before and realize only the beginning pics have been saved. The majority of the pics were lost through the Photobucket fiasco years ago.
