Thanks David and Peter… Thankfully the eyes have forgiven me now haha. Now all I have to worry about is the wire for the drop release mechanism lol
I join the fun. Nobody has touched on the subject of humvee so far. I will build a cargo version. I will use two base models - Tamiya and Italeri. Panzer Art wheels.

@Makiwawa this is a very interesting subject and I look forward to seeing more progress soon
Are planning on doing the Marine or Army Humvee?
@Tank_1812
I do not know yet. It depends if I can find a photo-etched plate for high exhaust. The plastic part doesn’t look good.
@Klaus-Adler - thanks
I have several thousand photos of different versions of the Humvee, but relatively few of them from Operation Desert Storm. If any of you have interesting inspiration, I would like to see such a photo.
I don’t. Your Marine comm high back reminds me of a comm truck we built during cax 5/6-96 for a FAC.We stripped the rear section and built an inclosed box out of plywood. Had a plastic window on the front slope with a door and ramp out the back. Cannot recall if we used 6 or 8 bolts to secure it to the bed and had about as many radios on shelves. A future project for me.
From here, you can select Humvee and bracket the years to get more photos.
There was a whole thread on the old Armorama site with a bunch of pics of ODS HMMWVs.
@Makiwawa wow, you’re off to a flying start with that number, keep it up mate.
The picture of the hummer almost stuck in the mud while in the desert is ironic.
i wonder who got the blame for that, the driver or the commander lol
No one. It was the Troop (Company) Commander’s tank, they hit a dry lake (I forget the name for them). The top crusts over with dry mud and sand, but is soft underneath. They can swallow up an entire vehicle. The M88 used the winch to pull them out from a distance, then we went around the area. That’s what happens when you lead from (too far out) in the front!
Ken
A waddie or something like that I believe was the term.
There were some details
-pedals
-long light switch
-heater
-wiper motor
-floor covering
-steering column
-screws on the window frame

Its coming along very nicely Piotr, looking forward to the way it turns out
Slowly plodding along on the M-84. This was supposed to be a nice, simple little conversion, but I keep finding new little bits that need to be put on.
I think I have all the parts added to the turret. I still have to add the bands and other bits to the gun barrel. Then maybe I can primer it and get ready for paint.
Ken
It is a curse Ken. There will always be one little thing more…
Looking good. A lot of love in that build.
Got the base coat of sand down on the M1. Used used AK CARC tan and it looks nice in normal light. The camera light throws it off a bit.
And a few to show the anti slip areas.
The small piece of plastic rod is only a guide for when I put the spare sprocket ring and wheel there.
I also had to redo the raise/lower straps on the plow as the first ones snap. Damn them lol. So they need a kick of paint and the plow can start to be weathered soon before I fix it in place.
Side skirts are also done and will do the wheels by hand today and tomorrow.
