Many years ago I read that they had bad customer service and buyers weren’t receiving their purchases, or that it took a long time to get the packages.
Now it appears that a lot of their products are SOLD OUT. Also, some reviews state that some of their products are Made in China and not Australia or New Zealand by local craftspeople.
Weta obviously makes products that one can’t find elsewhere, but I’m wary if one doesn’t receive their purchases in a timely, unbroken, and helpful fashion. Thanks in advance.
I have bought several items direct from SideShow Weta and never had a problem…
In or around 2004/5 I purchased the 1/6 Sauron Figure (which I just sold on eBay) and the Nazgul Witch king. (Both of these were made in China even back then.)
They arrived superbly packaged and still remain that way. ( I have never displayed them and still in original boxes). I also bought a few other LoTR items and never had an issue.
Both the figures have numerous areas that are very fragile, but as I said, packaging was 1st rate and arrived in perfect condition.
