Rural Morgan County, CO now. I am originally from N. Lower Peninsula. Family is stretched out between Jackson Area to Grayling area. Combination of Active Army, MI NG, and CO NG. I spent A LOT of time in Grayling, usually in Arty. Retired as a “Walking Warrant Officer”
This is the 34th annual show (took a year or two off for covid), The High Plains Modelers have been around for nearly 40 years now.
We have vendors tables but I can’t tell you who or how many have registered as a vendor as that is above my paygrade, lol. I do know that the vendor tables ring the whole room and that many have large collections of vintage kits, books, and other goodies for modelers. Last year there were over 250 models entered, and we had attendees from six states (i think). It’s a good show for being a “local” show.
I’ll be the guy with the long, white beard at the registration table sweating bullets to get everything entered into the database properly. Stop by and say hi.
The show results have (finally) been loaded to our website, High Plains Con XXXIV: The Fabulous Fifties – High Plains Modelers there you can find winners lists and some pictures. There are also links to even more pictures in the article taken by one of our club members.
