Congratulations, Si - beautiful work as usual!
Beautiful work, Si!
Tartar looks amazing!
Congratulations on another fine commissioning and as always, thanks for sharing your build.
Seeing how good the Atlantic kit is surely makes me question why I’m soldiering on with the Trumpy kit as I struggle with one of the kit’s most baffling errors…
Hi Tim,
Thank you for looking in along the way, and your kind comments.
Cheers Si
Thanks Russ,
The Atlantic Models kit is a great much more , don’t dispair it is a great job you are doing on the Trumpy kit. I have to finish the Eskimo sans bow started on the old site. At least that solves one issue, not much to do on the ship, but the base to build. I will start posting that when I start on the base,
Cheers, Si
Si,
a late, but still cordial congratulations to your commissioning of HMS Tartar! She’ looking splendid, fantastic work! And another really nice looking camo scheme! (I need to get me one of those Atlantic kits…)
Not much to report on Gneisenau - when you sit down at your workbench, first thing you break an inclined ladder off the model, second you simply can’t find your bending tool for doing a new one, third you break a 3D printed part while trying to cut ist of the base…that should tell you to stop for the day and do something else…
Cheers
Jan
Hi Jan,
Thanks for looking in, and your kind comments, the Atlantic Models kits are very nice, the resin casting is very clean, and a full set of etch.
bad days at the bench are never fun, you are right, all you can do is leave it for a day or so.
Good luck next time you go to the bench.
Cheers, Si
She came out fantastic as always Simon. Love following along and watching you work!
