Hobnob search and rescue vehicle

It probably isn’t widely known that packets of Hobnobs go missing regularly. This fact only came to light because the Hobnob is the biscuit of choice of the volunteers and beneficiaries of Models for Heroes M4H and it was they who first noticed that something was amiss.
M4H has it’s own IPMS club, IPMS Friends of Models for Heroes and for Scale Modelworld they have a theme build. This year it is, “Hobnobs”.
This will be my entry into this theme build, a Hobnob search and rescue vehicle. It was discovered that, “the Hood” was the culprit who was taking the Hobnobs because he didn’t like how popular they are. He prefers Jaffa Cakes (not a biscuit) and has even weaponised them to fend off the search for the Stolen Hobnobs. M4H approached International Rescue to build a vehicle for the dangerous mission of searching and rescuing the nicked packets of Hobnobs. Brains used this one off prototype of a Russian Apocalypse Tank. There are many upgrades and changes which are highlighted in the Photos.

Ooo.. anti Jaffa cake would that be lemon drizzle, love a slice of lemon drizzle cake with me tea :+1: although for a ‘quick’ brew definitely a hobnob.

Brilliant!
I like it. Modelling doesn’t have to be serious, so always good to see something done just for fun!

Does remind me of the camping episode of Bottom when a packet of hobnobs was all the food Richie and Eddie had to survive a week in the wilderness.

I like a Hob Nob but when it comes to Jaffa cakes the Lidel version is far superior, essential to keep them in a plastic box in fridge.

This is a cool and fun concept you have going on here can’t wait to see it at Telford, but does it mean we’ll have to hide the Hobnobs?

No need to hide them, I’ll happily eat them. But its 2 cups of coffee, or tea per packet, to be eaten in a oner.

Well so far not found sugar free Hobnobs only digestives so until I find sugar free Hobnobs I’ll have to stick to the digestives with caffeine free tea.

Unfortunately no sugar or caffeine in my diet, well may be a little bit followed by meds.

Fantastic, eventhough I will have to hide my Jaffa’s when reading this forum with this thing lurking about…

LIDL Does custard creams for 49 pence, which is a weakness of mine.

This project is very cool. Looking forward to seeing the lift engines installed.

Is a Hobnob like one of those awful little doughnuts sold in 6 packs at 7-Eleven?

Hobnobs are proper English biscuits. When the tea alarm goes off most Brits will also reach for a biscuit and we don’t put gravy on them, that is for a roast dinner or pie and peas or bangers and mash and the like.

Ah. Okay. Cookies. Hobnobs definitely look more appetizing than those spongy orange chocolate things. I’d throw those out, too.

there are also Rich Tea Biscuits, Digestives (you can use these for the base of a cheese cake) and chocolate digestives, all of which are idea dunking material provided you stick to the 3 second rule!
