And what about the lizard that comes with the DAK figures at rest. Have not tried so far. Will need pix of lizards of Libya. However the info on painting the dog is much appreciated, like horses, it’s much harder than it might seem.

I think that is supposed to represent the Desert monitor (Varanus griseus )

Lots of lizards in Libya and N. Africa. Most have rather striking and intricate markings (esp in 1/35 scale). Rather like the Sinai Blue Gecko for painting.

Yes, but few are the size the kit lizard is if you intend for it to to be 1/35th. The ‘blue’ is much shorter in length and the shape is different too.

The usual Libyan lizards seem to have very beautiful, intricate striped and spotted markings which would be hard to duplicate.
